How to indent your citation record for APA or MLA citations using word.
  • First type your entire citation. If using more than one citation then use the enter key after completing each citation.
  • select all of the citations (use your mouse to highlight the entire citation or group of citations.
  • go to Format (on the tool bar) Choose Paragraph
  • Under indentation choose Hanging
  • make sure you are using double space.

How to Turn off the hyperlink function in Word so your printed copy looks better:
Microsoft Word can format Web and e-mail addresses as hyperlinks as you type, but you can turn off this feature if you want.
  1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
  2. Under Replace as you type, select or clear the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.
